Meet with us Sundays at 11:00 a.m. as we explore God’s Word and Worship together.  Most Mondays you can find a group gathered to pray at 9630 North Lombard.  We are praying for ourselves, for our nation, for our families, for our city, for our state and for each other.  Consider joining us on Monday nights.  On Wednesday nights we join together to study God’s Word.

What We Believe

We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion. We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 ). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit). We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.  Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. Acts 2:4

We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11

Pastor Dennis Mostyn and his wife Deborah recognize the authority of God, and realize that they are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ, and as such they devote themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Together their passion and goal is to lift those around them and equip the believers for the work of the ministry.

What we believe:

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries and we have reached a helping hand to many.

Mission Outreach

Abundant Life Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers.

God-honoring worship is something we strive for and together we all have a part in making a joyful noise to the Lord.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the service, we agree together for special prayer needs and those who need special prayer are invited to come forward to receive their miracle. Throughout the week, members of Abundant Life pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

How Do I Meet People?

We strive to be a Book of Acts Church, and as such we follow Acts 2:42, “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Our church is not a place for spectators. We are a family.  We are a team.  Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our church community. Here you can learn, serve, and grow.

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church offers Bible studies to be held in homes, coffee shops, retirement homes, or other locations.  We also offer impromptu prayer meetings, prayer walks, and tailored bible studies to help with real life situations.
We are here for you!  Whether you need us to pray for you about a situation that is on your heart, or you want special prayer for divine healing, we can help.
